This 1982 sewing pattern is for a set of 6 Handbags: Fashion Purse; Tote; Satchel; Messenger Bag; and Handbag

Part of the pattern for bag “A” has been cut out, the rest is uncut.

Included is a sheet of Alphabet motifs, Iron transfers for embroidery. 2 letters, “D” & “K” have been cut from the sheet but there are still 2 of each of those left uncut. Most of the other letters have 3 of each on the sheet. See the picture of the transfer sheet for a sample of the letters. The instructions are in English on 2 sheets.

This envelope contains pattern pieces, transfer and detailed directions for making the six bags listed below.

Fabrics - Bag V.1,2 and 3 in: Cotton types, broadcloth, chambray, calico, lightweight denim, gingham, lightweight Iinen types. Bag V.3 also in pro-quilted fabrics. Bag V.4 in synthetic suede and Ieather like fabrics only. Bag V.5 and 6 in firm fabrics: denim, dock, firm linen types. Extra fabric needed to match plaids, stripes, one-way designs. Use nap yardage and nap layouts for one-way design fabrics.

Notions: Thread. V.1: Eight 1.5cm tow hole buttons, one pair of handbag handles with approx. 30.5cm slot, six strand cotton embroidery floss (opt.). V.2: One pair 23cm ring bamboo handles. V.3: One pair wood rods and knobs approx. 29cm long (for handles). V.5: 55cm zipper. V6 23cm zipper, two 5cm slide buckles.

Notes:
The sheet of Transfers has had 2 motifs (a “D” & a “K”) cut from it. There are still 77 Alphabet Motifs left (with 2 “D”s & a “K”s left).

The pattern pieces are in good condition, the pieces for bag view 1 have been cut out, the rest are uncut/untrimmed.

The pattern envelope is in fair condition, it has a 2-1/2” rip on the front and the flap is missing. (see Pictures).

The pattern weighs 100 grams. Shipping weight will be 130 grams. The pattern measures approximately 8-1/2” X 5-5/8” X 3/4” (21.3 X 14.4 X 2.5 cm).

(pattern will be split in two, the two piles laid flat and shipped in a large envelope to enable it to be shipped as letter mail.)

My Patterns are stored in a plastic storage bags and they are shipped in the same bag placed inside of a standard envelope. If you require the pattern shipped in a padded envelope or a box, please ask before paying.

Don't you just hate it when you buy a pattern and there is a piece missing, or some pieces are cut to a smaller size then listed or worse yet some of the enclosed pieces are not even for the pattern you bought?

Also, whenever possible, I show pictures of the front & rear of the pattern envelope, the pattern pieces, the instructions the cutting guide and the size chart.
