Shibata Japan Porcelain Round Covered Trinket or Ring Box

This is a round covered porcelain trinket box with a Shibata Japan hallmark on the bottom.  The box measures just slightly under 3-1/2" in diameter and stands about 1-7/8" tall, with the lid on.  The design on the lid is a beautiful floral of mums, daisies and other small flowers with gold trim around the lid.  I believe the design is hand painted.  There is a repeating pattern in shades of red around the bottom of the box.  

This trinket or ring box is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or flaws of any kind.  It has been displayed but has not been used otherwise.  It is a very nice size to set on your dresser for frequently worn jewelry, safety pins or any other small treasures.
