Seller's Description
This unit powers up, but does not work. Sold for parts only or to repair.
1. The top cover was crushed in the center. It's not easy to see in the photos. Some upper mounting tabs on the faceplate are broken off.
2. The tray rarely comes out on its own. The drive motor runs for a few seconds, but when the tray is pushed out by hand, the drive gear skips intermittently over the mode gear. I can't see anything broken, cracked, or deformed in relation to those two gears. The drive belt seems to be not slipping, but should probably be replaced.
3. When a CD is in place, it is not recognized and the spindle motor doesn't spin.
No apparent damage to the circuit board or the player mechanism. Faceplate looks okay. CD players are not part of my specialty areas. I need to get this into the hands of someone who needs it or will appreciate it.
