Seller's Description
Sebastian Miniature - George & Martha Washington - Pre 1976 - sculpted in 1958 by Prescott Baston. Base is 2 1/2" wide. 3/ 1/4" tall. According to the Sebastian Miniatures Value Register, this piece was sculpted for a Private company for use as gifts and incentives. As a result, there were less produced. The paint is a little faded, but otherwise I can find no blemishes. 40 years ago, this piece was valued at $50.
Sebastian Miniatures are series of small castable ceramic (chalkware) sculptures or figurines first produced by Prescott W Baston Sr. in 1938 until his death in 1984.
This item was part of Grandma's collection so does not have the original box, as she proudly displayed her treasures. It will come securely wrapped in a gift box.
