Seller's Description

Original British 11 7/8 inch x 8 1/4 inch Double-Sided Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1925 Victor Halperin Drama SCHOOL FOR WIVES, based on the novel “The House of Lynch” by Leonard Merrick and starring Conway Tearle, Sigrid Holmquist, Peggy Kelly, Arthur Donaldson, Allan Simpson, Brian Donlevy, Dick Lee, Dorothy Allen and Tyrone Power Sr..

A rich young woman marries a poor English artist who refuses to accept her father's tainted money. The artist lives up to his ideals, which precipitates a conflict. He is forced to accept a sum which permits their son to have an operation. After the wife gives up on her father's money through learning that it has no place in the scheme of happiness.

On the reverse is the Trade Advertisement for the 1925 Harry S. Webb Western THE EMPTY SADDLE starring Pete Morrison, Betty Goodwin, Bud Osborne, Lew Meehan and Ruth Joyce

This obscure silent Western was one of ten produced by Joseph Saneth's Lariat company for release by Vitagraph in 1925. Pete Morrison, a real-life cowboy from Colorado, starred along with his horse Blackie. In The Empty Saddle, Morrison got above-average opposition from such veteran villains as Bud Osborne, the flat-nosed Lew Meehan, and that wonderful sagebrush vixen Ruth Royce.
