Original Argentine 29 inch x 43 inch Poster for the 1953 Ingmar Bergman Drama SAWDUST AND TINSEL (GYCKLARNAS AFTON) starring Åke Grönberg, Harriet Andersson, Hasse Ekman, Anders Ek, Gudrun Brost and Annika Tretow.

Ingmar Bergman presents the battle of the sexes as a ramshackle, grotesque carnival of humiliation in this film, one of the master’s most vivid early works and his first of many collaborations with the great cinematographer Sven Nykvist. The story of the charged relationship between a turn-of-the-twentieth-century circus owner (Åke Grönberg) and his younger mistress (Harriet Andersson), a horseback rider in the traveling show.

The poster is in very good folded condition. There is a 6 inch tear along the bottom fold from the left. There is a small tear in the bottom border.
