Original Engravings titled ROME - THE ERYTHRAEAN SYBIL, BY MICHAEL ANGELO, IN THE SISTINE CHAPEL & ROME - THE NAVE OF ST. PETER’S.
The Erythraean Sibyl was the prophetess of classical antiquity presiding over the Apollonian oracle at Erythrae, a town in Ionia opposite Chios, which was built by Neleus, the son of Codrus. Michelangelo produced this fresco in 1508-1512.

It continued to be published weekly under this title until 23 April 1932 and then changed title to The National Graphic between 28 April and 14 July 1932; it then ceased publication, after 3,266 issues.
