Original U.S. 41 inch x 81 inch 3-Sheet Poster for the 1939 Henry Hathaway Philippines Historical Drama THE REAL GLORY, based on the novel by Charles L. Clifford and starring Gary Cooper, David Niven, Andrea Leeds, Reginald Owen, Broderick Crawford, Kay Johnson, Russell Hicks, Vladimir Sokoloff, Benny Inocencio, Charles Waldron, Rudy Robles, Tetsu Komai, Roy Gordon, Henry Kolker, Caiyu Ambol, Luke Chan, Soledad Jiménez, George Kaluna and Elmo Lincoln.
Gary Cooper is in uniform as a US Army lieutenant in the medical corps, stationed at some remote spot called Fort Mysang, in the Philippines. The time is 1906, when American expeditionary troops were evacuating, and native command was taking over the newly won possessions. Moro uprisings, guerrilla warfare, cholera epidemics and fancy exhibitions of inhuman cruelty are the frame against which an innocuous melodramatic yarn is told.
The poster is in very good folded condition in two sections with pinholes around the edges and minor fold and border wear.
