Full title: YASHKA: ma vie de paysanne, d'exilee, de soldat.
Translation of title: YASHKA: my life as peasant, exile and soldier.
Great *RARE* antique autobiography fine binding hardback book from 1923 by Maria Botchkareva (Bochkareva) as told to Michel Prevost on her experiences of WW1. Bochkareva was a Russian soldier of WW1 who formed the Women's Battalion and was the first Russian woman to command a military unit. Text of book is in French language. Binding and pages inside are in great condition especially as the book is 101 years old.
Measures 18.25cm tall x 11.5cm wide x 2.75cm thick. Weighs 335 grams.
