8" x 7" black and white official press photograph.

SOUTH QUAY GOES AHEAD

7-1 outsider SOUTH QUAY (right) ridden by COLIN TINKLER in the lead first time round in THE EPWORTH HANDICAP CHASE at DONCASTER beating 5-4 favourite OLD STEPHEN by half a length.  With him are SHY SPIRIT (centre) ridden by M LOWRY and PADDY'S BEST (left) ridden by J DOYLE.

Dated 7th January 1976

The photograph is in fair condition although it has suffered some browning with age, notably on the righthand side of the image.
