Wash-Away Embellishment
C&T Publishing’s Wash-Away Applique Sheets–a new, eco-friendly replacement for freezer paper–do double duty when used for bobbin-work embellishment. Use the sheets to create templates for applique patches, then leave them in as the stabilizer for machine embellishment with embroidery floss.
Hanukah Nights
Light up the nights of Hanukah with these jaunty Stars of David surrounded by a lively, dancing border. When you use a multicolored ombre fabric and a slice-and-swap piecing technique, this quilt will come together quickly. The assembly for the pieced border has been simplified for ease of construction.
Trapunto Trumpet Vines

Easy Lessons on this CD:
Curvy Rickrack
Rickrack is a nostalgic notion that’s enjoying a comeback. It adds a whimsical element to quilt designs, and since it can be stitched into any seam, you can use it to embellish just about any quilt block. In this lesson, I’ll show you how to use rickrack on a curved propeller block. I prefer to use Sulky monofilament thread because it’s 100 percent polyester and won’t melt when your iron is set for cotton fabrics. It is also soft and pliable.
Slice and Swap Stars
Light up the nights of Hanukah with these jaunty Jewish stars. When you use a multi-colored ombre fabric and this slice-and-swap piecing technique, the quilt will come together quickly. Learn how to make the stars here and you’ll be ready to make Hanukah Nights.
