Seller's Description

Original British 11 inch x 17 inch Double-Sided Trade Advertisement for the 1946 Harold French Comedy QUIET WEEKEND, based on the play by Esther McCracken and starring Derek Farr, Frank Cellier, Marjorie Fielding, George Thorpe, Barbara White, Helen Shingler, Edward Rigby and Josephine Wilson.

Arthur and Mildred invite some friends for a quiet weekend in the country. Among the guests is a magistrate too shy to propose to the woman he loves, and young Miranda - not too shy at all to show her affections for cousin Denys. The arrival of an abrasive sophisticate puts the cat among the pigeons, but worse is to come when Arthur and the magistrate get caught up in a salmon-poaching spree!

The Advertisement is in very good condition with a vertical centre fold with 2 staple holes along it.
