Original 1832 9 1/8 inch x 6 3/4 inch etching and engraving titled QUEEN ANNE
Portrait of Queen Anne, three quarter length,one hand to her chest, where the badge of the Garter hangs; also wearing ermine-trimmed robe and Star of the Garter; from the picture at Petworth; late issue, in ornamental border; illustration to Lodge's 'Portraits' (8vo edition, London 1821-34).
Engraved by John Cochran (active 1821 - 1865). John Cochran was a Scottish portrait miniaturist, a stipple and line engraver and a painter of watercolours. Cochran exhibited his portraits at the Royal Academy between 1821 and 1823, and at the Suffolk Street Gallery from 1821 to 1827.
After Sir Godfrey Kneller (1646 - 1723). German-born painter who settled in England and became the leading portraitist there in the late 17th century and early 18th century.
