Original vintage oil and gas magazine ad for THE PURE OIL COMPANY In 1893 the men with first Pure Oil pipe line, U.S. Pipeline Company, were confronted with 75 men with Winchesters who declared, They Shall Not Pass! While competing forces glared belligerently for three whole months, other rights of way were purchased, and the pipe line was put through. Today, Pure oil uses 2600 miles of pipe line to supplement its ocean tankers and river barges. Old 1934 petroleum exploration industry advertisement. Would display magnificently matted and framed!
