Seller's Description

This is a postcard, probably dating from WW1, showing an illustration of a lady with a small inset image of a soldier and a lady kissing.  The caption is “To my Soldier Boy from Gunnerton this Christmas”, a reference to the village of Gunnerton in Northumberland.

The card was published by John Thirdgould, and I guess they probably produced cards with the basic design and then added the relevant home town separately as required by the buyer.

The card is in fair condition with minor wear to the corners and edges, and a few marks.
