Seller's Description
This is a postcard with a view of the Tour Blanche (White Tower), Salonika, Greece.
It was posted in December 1915 with (I believe) the French military field postmark “Tresor et Postes 508". This appears to have been used for the French forces in Serbia.
The card has been sent to a Miss Wilkinson by someone at the 2nd Hôpital d'Evacuation as part of the Armée d'Orient. The sender's writing is hard to read, but she has signed it “Auntie….” I wonder if she is maybe a French or British nurse ?
The postcard is in fair condition with minor wear to the corners and edges, and some marks on the back.
Please see some other WW1 and military-related items, currently on sale, including other military mail.
