Original British 40 inch x 81 inch 3-Sheet Poster for the 1961 Sidney Hayers Thriller PAYROLL, based on the novel by Derek Bickerton and starring Michael Craig, Billie Whitelaw, Françoise Prévost, Kenneth Griffith, William Lucas, Tom Bell, Andrew Faulds, Barry Keegan, Joan Rice, Glyn Houston, Vanda Godsell and Brian McDermott.
A vicious gang of crooks plan to steal the wages of a local factory, but their carefully laid plans go wrong, when the driver of the armoured van carrying the money is killed in the raid. The driver’s wife plans revenge, and with the police closing in, the gang start to turn on each other. Set in Newcastle this tough thriller pre-dates Get Carter by 10 years.
The poster is in very good folded condition in two separate sheets with slight fold splits.
