If you have some knitting experience, and you’re interested in expanding your knitting techniques, this beautiful sampler is an ideal choice. It is fascinating to knit, and makes a cosy complement to any style of home decor.
There are 14 different squares, ranging from simple patterns to those requiring a little more skill.
The first motifs have the easiest instructions, so you can expand your skills as you progress.
We’ve pictured the afghan in a traditional aran shade with a multicolour edging. You could try other options. ... for example:
do the squares in light, medium and dark shades of a colour family, using a fourth shade, the darkest, for the edging. (Medium to light shades show off the textures best.)
Or you could be adventurous and use many different shades.
Perhaps you’ll choose only afew of the 14 motifs and repeat them more often. Your choices will make the afghan your own personal creation.
