Seller's Description
In 1920 Pathé introduced a line of what it called "needle cut" records (i.e., compatible with other standard brands of 78 discs), at first mostly for the USA market. The "needle cut" records were called Pathe Actuelle. Pathé Records was a France based international record label active from the 1890s through the 1930s, and was founded by brothers Charles & Émile Pathé.
Offered here is an exceptionally clean and fine sounding pair of 1920 Hawaiian sounds. A lot of original gloss still shows under very light play wear and virtually no scratches. No cracks, chips, or skips.
Side 020678 presents the Hawaiian guitars of Frank Ferera and Franchini in, "Hawaiian Eyes". Side 020678-B offers a baritone solo by Warren Mitchell, with Hawaiian accompaniment, of "Hawaiian Rainbow".
