Original U.S. 27 inch x 41 inch 1-Sheet Poster for the 1968 Basil Dearden Crime Comedy ONLY WHEN I LARF, based on the novel by Len Deighton and starring Richard Attenborough, David Hemmings, Alexandra Stewart, Nicholas Pennell and Melissa Stribling.
Three con artist try to fool an African militant by selling him a bogus shipment of arms. Things go awry however, when the three plot to double-cross each other when it comes to sharing out the money.
Poster art by Ron Lesser. Born in New York City, Ron studied at the renowned Pratt Institute. In the 1970's and 1980's he produced several hundred western paperback covers and movie posters. Lesser made the posters for five Clint Eastwood western films, including the iconic poster for “High Plains Drifter” and “Joe Kidd”. Also the poster for Sam Peckinpah's “Pat Garrett and Billy The Kidd”.
The poster is in very good folded condition with a white sticker over the G certificate at the bottom.
