Old St Paul's Vols 1 & 2 By Harrison Ainsworth. Hardback Books. Illustrated.

Two volumes of 'Old St. Pauls' published by G.J. Howells and Company. A tale set in the times of the plague. No publishing date but probably the very early 1900's. They have photogravures from the original engravings by John Franklin which are complete in volume one but are missing in volume two apart from the frontispiece. The bindings are loose in both volumes so I expect they have dropped out over the years. Printed on good quality hand cut paper. They have maroon leather boards with gilt tooling, both volumes have wear on the corners and at the top and bottom of spines. Length 18cms, width 11cms. 312 & 322 pages.
