In center foreground is Los Angeles' Farmers Market. CBS Television City is in left foreground and Pan Pacific auditorium is at left behind rig. Two independent operators are batting 1000 in drilling from a rig which sits on the playing field of the old Hollywood Stars baseball team. Jade Oil Company of Houston and Beverly Hills, and Buttram Petroleum Corporation of Oklahoma City are drilling along the southern flank of Salt Lake field, on of the real old-timers in Los Angeles' town lot drilling play. This 1962 petroleum equipment magazine article would display beautifully matted and framed.
