Seller's Description
From the General Phonograph Corporation, circa 1923, though now part of the CBS-Columbia music family. A rich history surrounds this label founded by Otto Heinemann, who issued not only recordings similar to other companies, but also music for audiences in the German, Czech, Polish, Swedish and Yiddish communities neglected by others.
Offered here is a mostly clean and pretty fair sounding pair of 1940's melodies from The Champagne Music of Lawrence Welk.
A decent gloss still shows through moderate play wear and light scratches. No cracks, chips, or skips.
Side C3475 the waltz "Maria Elena", with vocal chorus by Jayne Walton. Side C3473 offers, "Daddy's Lullaby", also a waltz, with vocal chorus provided by Jayne Walton and Parnell Grina.
