Seller's Description

From the General Phonograph Corporation, circa 1923, though now part of the CBS-Columbia music family. A rich history surrounds this label founded by Otto Heinemann, who issued not only recordings similar to other companies, but also music for audiences in the German, Czech, Polish, Swedish and Yiddish communities neglected by others.

Offered here is a very clean and excellent sounding pair of 1940's Big Band rhythms from Gene Krupa and his Orchestra.

A lot of original gloss still shows through light play wear of minor scuffs and faint scratches. No cracks or skips. One tiny edge chip does not impair the play.

Side WC-3209 presents the fox trot "Drummer Boy", from "Strike Up The Band", with vocal by Irene Daye. Side W-26954 offers, "Looking For Yesterday", a fox trot with vocal chorus provided by Howard Du Lany.
