Noritake Japan Chevonia Fruit Dessert Sauce Bowl

This is a rimmed fruit or dessert bowl from Noritake's beautiful "Chevonia" pattern. This vintage pattern was discontinued around 1948. The pattern features a blue and tan scroll border with a cream colored band and floral sprays around the rim. There is gold trim around the rim.

This fruit bowl measures 5-1/2" across the rim and stands about 1-1/8" in height. The Noritake "Made in Japan" backstamp is on the bottom.

This fruit bowl is in good condition. The gold trim is completely intact and there are no chips, cracks or crazing.  However, there are quite a few utensil marks or stacking marks visible if you look closely at the cream band and some areas of the tan scroll design in the bottom of the dish have been rubbed away (as can be seen in the second photo below).  This dish is still quite useable and has plenty of life left in it!  Please check my store for other pieces in this pattern that may still be available.
