Seller's Description
Lucas C40-T (tacho drive) generator brush set. Not for other C40 variants. Lucas part number 54216361 and their later ICN no. was USB106.
This listed set was made by after-market parts manufacturer Remax, their no. CB798. No longer with its Remax box, I repackaged sets for display at autojumbles in the 1970s and 80s. Other equivalents: Commercial Ignition CI-298 and Park DB18
Vehicle applications are post 1960 and into the early 70s. The 22 Amp C40-T was used on some tractors: Fordson Super Dexta / Super Major 1965 - 71, Nuffield models between 1967 and 71 (possibly a little later.) The C40-T was also installed on some Land Rovers of this period, though many had the standard C40 so check dynamo markings and there were a few other more obscure applications, e.g. Reliant pick-up truck.
Brush dimensions: cross-section 17.3 x 5.6 mm, length 23 mm. Lead length approx. 45 mm.Listing Information
