In 2014, Brand Jordan released an Air Jordan 1 Retro 'Barons' and an Air Jordan 9 'Barons' as part of a Barons pack inspired by Jordan's time in baseball's minor leagues. This reimagined Air Jordan 13 Retro 'Barons' was released 6 months after the Barons pack. The first Air Jordan 13 to feature a patent mudguard, its wolf grey elements draw comparisons to the 2005 'Grey Toe' Air Jordan 13 Retro.
