Original, country of origin, Mexican 26 inch x 36 inch Poster for the 1959 Luis Buñuel Drama NAZARIN, based on the novel by Benito Pérez Galdós and starring Francisco Rabal, Marga López and Rosenda Monteros.
A priest (Rabal) is despised when he wanders among the poor in the footsteps of Christ in this powerful and darkly surreal satire. His followers are society’s outcasts, including a prostitute. This atheist’s attack on religion won the award from the International Catholic Cinema Office, who may have misunderstood Bunuel’s intentions.

The poster is in very good condition with 2 horizontal folds. The bottom fold has slight separation at the centre with some paper loss. There is a 3 inch tear at the left edge.
