These books are 9x12 with full color, 32 to 64 pages, containing text descriptive of America's national parks and photographs of scenery, geology, plants and animals, Native Americans, and history features to both appreciate these marvels and to plan visits. Most are parts of the series "the story behind the scenery" and "the continuing story", as shown. Many parks have both series available; "the story behind the scenery" includes more descriptive text but still with many illustrations; "the continuing story" series also tells a park's story but with more illustrations and less text.
