Multi-Phone Recording Control Radio Shack 43-1236 For use w Cassette Recorder
This device interfaces your phone line (land Line) to a cassette recorder so that every time you pick up the phone the recorder records the conversation.
New in Package (Package was opened to take pictures).
English and French instructions are both included.

Automatically starts your recorder when you pick up a line and stops it when you hang up.
Plugs into Most recorders that have a remote jack.

Instructions
1. To record, set cassette machine to record mode. Then, move RECORD/PLAYBACK switch on the Multi-Phone Recording Control to RECORD. When you lift the receiver either to make a call or to receive one, your recorder will automatically record. (Note: A fully rewound standard cassette may not record the first 10 seconds of a conversation because of tape leader. To avoid this, turn on the recorder and let it run briefly. Better still, use a RadioShack leaderless cassette.) When the conversation is ended, hang up telephone receiver and recording will stop automatically.
2 To play back, move the RECORD/PLAYBACK switch on the Multi-Phone Recording Control to PLAYBACK. Rewind and play back in the usual manner.
When you do not wish to record a conversation, simply set your recorder so it will not record.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not use the Multi-Phone Recording Control on a party line since it will record conversations of all parties. This would be unlawful. Check your provincial and local regulations for further guidelines.

The controller measures about 2-3/4 x 2-1/2 X 1 inch (7 X 5.7 X 2.5 cm).
The tape recorder leads are approximately 36 inches (91 cm) long and are terminated in 2 mini jacks: one 3.5 mm (Microphone); one 2.5 mm (Record start/stop).
The Phone line is approximately 80 inches (203 cm) long and is terminated in an rj11 plug.
The controller and the packaging weigh 5-1/2 ounces (160 gr). Shipping weight will be 230 grams. This will be shipped in a padded envelope.
This is in new condition in it’s original package with full instructions.
