Seller's Description

PFAS156 This is a rare opportunity to secure this antique 5.5" x 3.5" hand signed postcard for Mr & Mrs Cyril & Winifred Maude who have both personally autographed the souvenir where their signatures rests perfectly accompanying both of their portraits - this has surface to allow and some reverse ageing but otherwise is very good condition. It is very hard to find Cyril Maude's wife signature so surely the best autograph opportunity of its kind.

In 1888, Cyril Maude married actress Winifred Emery, the daughter of Samuel Anderson Emery and granddaughter of John Emery, both well-known actors in their day. Their children included Margery Maude, who became an actress; Pamela Cynthia Maude (18931975); and John Cyril Maude, who became a barrister, judge and Member of Parliament
