Printed red monochrome postcard showing an illustration by Link of the monument sculpted by Charles René de Paul de Saint-Marceaux in 1909 to commemorate the foundation of the Universal Postal Union, established by the Treaty of Bern of 1874.

Postally used on 4 October 1909 with Bern cancellation on pre-printed red 10c stamp and sent to Jean Laffely fils, Fleurier, Neuchâtel, and with receipt postmark for Fleurier on 5 October 1909.
Good condition, with very slight corner bumps, but small stains to top right corner and centre of left edge.
