Original 10 inch x 8 inch Black and White Portrait of GERTRUDE OLMSTEAD in the 1926 Christy Cabanne Romantic Comedy MONTE CARLO .
Gertrude Olmstead (1897 - 1975) was a beauty contest winner born in Chicago. She signed a Hollywood contract in 1920 and, after playing a number of supporting roles, starred in many silents of the 1920s, retiring shortly after the advent of sound. She was married to director Robert Z. Leonard.
The portrait is in very good condition with slight marks and minor chips out of the top edge and a mark in the bottom border.
