Original French 47 inch x 63 inch Poster for the 1989 Patrice LeconteThriller MONSIEUR HIRE, based on the novel “Les Fiançailles de M. Hire” by Georges Simenon and starring Michel Blanc, Sandrine Bonnaire, Luc Thuillier, Andre Wilms and Eric Berenger.

A recluse is accused of murdering a young woman simply because his neighbors think he is strange.

Poster photography by Jean-Marie Leroy. He studied at the Conservatoire Libre du Cinéma Français. He worked as a photo editor for Starfix magazine from 1985-87. He then turned to reporting and the press, joining the SYGMA agency, with which he worked for 12 years, until 2000. His photos have appeared in magazines like Paris Match, Elle, Studio Magazine, VSD, Télérama and many more. From 1988 he has been a stills photographer for some of the great film directors such as Almodovar, Kusturica, Antonioni, Wenders, Warnier, Tavernier, Leconte, Deville, Kurys, Audiard.

The poster is in good folded condition with corner pinholes.
