Additional descriptive notes (if applicable): the postage stamp depicts the following three people:
Andrzej Tadeusz Bonawentura Kosciuszko (February 4 or 12, 1746 – October 15, 1817) was a Polish (sometimes described as Polish-Lithuanian) and American general. He is a national hero of Poland, Belarus, Lithuania and the United States. He led the 1794 Kosciuszko Uprising against Imperial Russia and the Kingdom of Prussia as Supreme Commander of the Polish National Armed Forces.
George Washington (February 22, 1732 – December 14, 1799) was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States, serving as the commander-in-chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. He also presided over the convention that drafted the Constitution, which replaced the Articles of Confederation. The Constitution established the position of President of the republic, which Washington was the first to hold.
Kazimierz Michal Waclaw Wiktor Pulaski of Slepowron (March 6, 1745 – October 11, 1779) was a Polish nobleman, soldier and military commander who has been called ‘the father of American cavalry.’ Despite his fame, until recently, there have been uncertainties and controversies surrounding both his place of birth and burial.
General notes:
1) Listing of used postage stamps: multiple copies: As my fine used material is of comparable quality, where I have more than one copy of a particular stamp for sale I list one generic sale for used singles and sets of postage stamps, showing one representative image of that particular item, but indicating how many copies/sets are for sale.
2) Shipping charges for multiple purchases: in addition to postage my shipping charges include a handling and packing charge. My basic charges for this item are shown on the sales page. However, postage, processing and packing charges for multiple purchases will be combined and will be based upon the actual cost of despatching a package containing all the items bought.
