Original 8 1/2 inch x 7 3/4 inch Engraving titled MGR. GUIBERT, ARCHBISHOP OF PARIS.
Joseph-Hippolyte Guibert (1802 – 1886) was a French Catholic Archbishop of Paris and Cardinal. He was consecrated by Eugène de Mazenod and was appointed by Pope Gregory XVI as bishop of Viviers in 1842, and archbishop of Tours in 1857. He became Archbishop of Paris in 1871, and a Cardinal in 1873.

The Graphic was a British weekly illustrated newspaper, first published on 4 December 1869 by William Luson Thomas's company Illustrated Newspapers Limited. It continued to be published weekly under this title until 23 April 1932 and then changed title to The National Graphic between 28 April and 14 July 1932; it then ceased publication, after 3,266 issues.
