Seller's Description
This recording was released by Metrotone Records as catalog number 2018. The record first reached the Billboard magazine charts on September 3, 1948 and lasted 5 weeks on the chart, peaking at #24. Jack Emerson with the Chet Howard Orchestra and Trio perform these two movie melodies.
Offered here is a clean and clear sounding pair of pop arrangements. Light background hiss, minor scuffs, and faint scratches are to be expected, but this platter has no cracks, chips, or skips and still shows an excellent gloss. Really very good audio!
Side 1 presents "Hair Of Gold", from the 1948 Columbia Picture "Singin' Spurs". Side 2 lists, "The Moonrise Song", from the 1948 Republic Picture "Moonrise".
