Seller's Description

Ted Weems was a popular mid-western bandleader, primarily around the Chicago circuit. Here's two of his big band sounds on a Mercury Celebrity Series Label from the late 1940's or very early 1950's. This double-sided recording still plays reasonably well, and shows only moderate playwear with a decent gloss still showing! Mostly clean with no chips, skips, or cracks. Some damage to the center hole of the "A" side does NOT cause any play distortion. Low hiss background is minimal. Few scratches allow a full, rich sound!

Side 5062-A presents "Mickey".

Side 5062-B offers "The Martins And The Coys". Both are performed by Ted Weems and his Orchestra, with vocals and whistling by Elmo Tanner.
