Seller's Description

Original Argentine 29 inch x 43 inch Poster for the 1943 Leslie Arliss Gainsborough Pictures Drama THE MAN IN GREY, based on the novel by Eleanor Smith and starring Margaret Lockwood, Phyllis Calvert, James Mason, Stewart Granger, Martita Hunt, Helen Haye, Beatrice Varley, Raymond Lovell, Nora Swinburne, Patric Curwen, Roy Emerton, Stuart Lindsell, A.E. Matthews and Amy Veness.

Regency schoolgirls become bosom buddies when sweet Calvert looks after poor Lockwood, who eventually returns to favour by seducing her handsome, horrid husband Mason. Fun, bodice-ripping yarn with the stars on top sneering, leering and weeping form for this costumer that set the tone for a host of Gainsborough films.

The poster is in very good folded condition. There is a tiny hole at the centre cross fold.
