Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1964 Richard Brooks Adventure LORD JIM, based on the novel by Joseph Conrad and starring Peter O'Toole, James Mason, Eli Wallach, Jack Hawkins, Paul Lukas, Akim Tamiroff and Daliah Lavi.
Peter O'Toole gives his finest performance as victim-hero after Lawrence of Arabia in this adaptation of Joseph Conrad's story about a merchant seaman branded a coward after jumping ship during a storm. His search for salvation in South East Asia results in action against a fanatical tyrant lording it over oppressed natives.
The poster art is by Robert "Bob" M. Peak (1927 - 1992). Bob Peak is best known for his developments in the design of the modern American movie poster. He was born in Denver, Colorado and graduated from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, California in 1951.
