Seller's Description
This is a very old used black and white/sepia postcard of Loch Assynt and Ardvreck Castle, Sutherland. The Scene of the Betrayal of Montrose, 1557, posted in Lochinver sometime around the 1940s or so – the date in the postmark is not clear, but the card still has the King George VI 2d stamp attached. It is a “Best of All” Real Photograph Series Post Card, published by J B White Ltd, Dundee, numbered A2238 and the card is in very good condition – no creases or obvious marks, with only slight scuffing to some corners.
