1976 Avon Wild Country Lidded Beer Stein
New in the original decorated box. This was never displayed or used. The box has some minor wear from storage.
This was the first in a series of collector steins made for Avon by Ceramarte of Brazil
Ceramic in shades of light blue with maroon bands at top and bottom, and dark blue around the fired animals and writing
The stein is 9¼ inches tall. 9 inches to the top of the thumb lift. The base is 3½ inches in diameter.
The lid and thumb lift are made of pewter
On the bottom: "Avon" "Handcrafted in Brazil exclusively for Avon Products Inc, 1976"
Limited edition number 231538
There's also a paper tag on the bottom "Made Ceramarte in Brazil"
Around the bottom "Rocky Mountain Goat" "Golden Eagle" "Bighorn Sheep" "Alaskan Moose" and "Falcon". These are the animals and birds pictured on the stein.
