Seller's Description
A Chinese export plate from the Wanli period, late 16th century. During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty in China (1573-1620), Chinese export plates were highly sought after and widely produced for trade with other regions. The Ming Dynasty was known for its flourishing porcelain industry, and export plates were among the many ceramics that were exported to various parts of the world, particularly to Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
Chinese export plates from the Wanli period were typically made of porcelain, a type of ceramic known for its delicate and translucent quality. Porcelain production in China reached its peak during the Ming Dynasty, with a wide range of exquisite designs and techniques being employed.
The plate is in great condition. It has no cracks, scratches or marks. Will include the appraisal from Mearto.
