Original 1836 7 5/8 inch x 4 7/8 inch stipple and etching of THE LADY AUGUSTA BARING
Portrait of Lady Augusta Baring, three-quarter length sitting in a sofa, looking slightly to the left, with dark hair in ringlets, white dress with lace sleeves, nosegay on chest, holding her left glove with her right hand on lap; illustration to Charles Heath's 'Book of Beauty'.
Print by Henry Thomas Ryall (1811 - 1867). Engraver and publisher. 'Historical Engraver to the Queen' in 1843.
After Alfred Edward Chalon (1780 - 1860). Draughtsman, painter and watercolourist, brother of John James Chalon. Born in Geneva but settled in England with his family as a child. Exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1810. Painter in Watercolour to Queen Victoria. With his brother, the founder of the Chalon Sketching Society in 1808.
