Seller's Description

Original French 47 inch x 63 inch Poster for the 1974 Louis Malle Drama LACOMBE, LUCIEN starring Pierre Blaise, Aurore Clement, Holger Lowenadler, Therese Giehse and Stephane Bouy.

When a French peasant teenager (Blaise) is rejected by the resistance, he joins the Nazis and moves in with a Jewish family. His actions lead to the father’s death but he rescues the daughter whom he loves and the grandmother. Malle was inevitably attacked for speaking about collaboration - a virtually taboo subject - and he left France for America. Malle’s achievement is in conjuring up the period details, the wartime mood, small-town atmosphere, eliciting some very special acting and a superb music score by Django Reinhardt.

The poster art is by Bob Elia.

The poster is in very good folded condition.
