Original 1943 Re-Release British 27 inch x 37 inch Quad Poster for the 1936 Carol Reed Comedy LABURNUM GROVE, based on the play by J.B. Priestley and starring Edmund Gwenn, Cedric Hardwicke, Victoria Hopper, Frederick Burtwell, Katie Johnson and James Harcourt.

To rid himself of his sponging relatives a man tells them he is really a forger causing them to leave. His wife believes he is joking, but he has in fact allowed the truth to slip out and is now in danger of being arrested.

S John Woods worked for Fox in the 1930s, designed posters for the Old Vic, Covent Garden and Sadlers Wells before joining Ealing Studios’ advertising department in 1943 employing well known artists to design their posters.
