Original French 47 inch x 63 inch Poster for the 1954 Jean Dreville Romantic Drama LA REINE MARGOT, based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas, with a screenplay by Abel Gance and starring Jeanne Moreau, Armando Francioli, Robert Porte, Henri Genes and Francoise Rosay.
Two riders ride to Paris carrying a message for their respective lords. One is a faithful servant of Henry of Navarre, the other of the Duke of Guise.
Poster art by Boris Grinsson (1907 - 1999). An artist famous for drawing the designs for over 2000 French film posters.
The poster is in very good folded condition with a tear down the upper right vertical fold.
