Overall condition is acceptable. This is the first printing of the paperback version of the book by Ace. This is verified by the ad numbers in the back which are 25M, 7I, 45C, 15L, and 16J and that the publisher's address is 1120 Avenue of the Americas. The 1978 reprinting which is virtually identical has ads 66B and 15L and lists the address as 360 Park Avenue South. For the interested, the 1980 third reprint has a yellow background behind the art. The front cover has heavy edge wear, creasing running parallel to the spine as caused by reading, creases across the front cover, and edge chipping in addition to a red marker spot over the price. The back cover is in better shape with moderate to heavy edge wear, creasing along the spine, and dog ear creasing in the upper and lower left corners. The spine has four vertical creases with moderate edge wear on the top and bottom. Interior pages have discolored with age.
