Original British 16 1/4 inch x 10 3/8 inch 12 Page illustrated Campaign Book for the 1955 Carol Reed Drama A KID FOR TWO FARTHINGS, based on the book by Wolf Mankowitz and starring Celia Johnson, David Kossoff, Diana Dors, Joe Robinson, Jonathan Ashmore, Brenda de Banzie, Primo Carnera, Lou Jacobi, Irene Handl, Danny Green, Sydney Tafler, Sidney James, Vera Day, Daphne Anderson, Joseph Tomelty, Alfie Bass, Eddie Byrne, Harold Goodwin, Sam Kydd, Spike Milligan and Barbara Windsor.

Adventures of youngster who listens to tales of magic unicorns, and buys a kid, begging it to grant the wishes of his friends.

Cover art by William Stobbs (1914 - 2000). Born in South Shields, Tyneside, on 27 June 1914. He studied at the Durham School of Art, graduating in 1938. The following year he joined Rolls Royce as a draughtsman. After the Second World War he worked for Alvis, before joining the London School of Printing and Graphic Art as head of its design department. From 1958 to 1979 he was Principal of Maidstone College of Art.

The campaign book is in very good condition with a pinhole in each corner.
