12inch x 18inch Poster James Montgomery Flagg (1877 1960) was an American artist and illustrator. He is most famous for his war effort posters but he also work for magazines, did cartoons, and even paintings. Classic art image of Uncle Sam rolling up his sleeves and holding large wrench ready to fight. Large text across bottom "Buy Extra Bonds". Poster includes Iwo Jima flag image on "The Mighty 7th War Loan" logo. Issued the day after VE Day. Poster is by noted illustrator James Montgomery Flagg and he used himself for the model of Uncle Sam. There is a border around the image. The image size is correct.
